Abstract

The present paper highlights some emerging facets and policy perspectives of distance education in India. With the ever increasing need to achieve the target of higher gross enrolment ratio, better employability and trained manpower in the country, the paper underlines the ways in which distance education is serving as a crucial catalyst between the learners and teachers. Using statistical tools like the Correlation and Regression Analysis, the paper pinpoints the relevance
